Santa Teresa Long Term Rentals

A surf and nature lover’s paradise, Santa Teresa has many long term rentals to offer.

Santa Teresa Costa RicaSanta Teresa is located near the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula on the Pacific side and has excellent exposure, so the waves are good pretty much any day of the year. Many beach breaks exist up and down this strech of sandy beach.

You will find that much of the town revolves around surfing with surf shops, board rentals, and lessons available all over.

Apart from surfing, the area is home to people interested in health and wellness so yoga is also a very popular activity in the area.

The Santa Teresa area including Mal Pais is very cosmopolitan, so you will find restaurants and other shops with influences from all over the world. Dining options are never a problem in this part of Costa Rica.

In terms of natural beauty, the area is pretty incredible. The area between the beach and the main coastal road is filled with palm trees and other tropical species interspersed with homes and condos. On the interior side of the road, the coastal hills rise rapidly so many of the rental properties in the area have incredible ocean views including some of the best sunsets on the planet.

Santa Teresa Apartments

Long term rentals in Santa Teresa range in price from low to quite high depending on the property. There are affordable cabinas and apartments with very basic finishing below the tree line and away from the beach. There are also very luxurious homes in the area, mostly built for second homes, that are sometimes available for long term rental. Beach front or ocean view location, pools, size and quality of construction all affect the price. Most rentals in Santa Teresa will come furnished although not all.

Santa Teresa has tourism that follows the general seasonal patterns of the rest of Costa Rica. If you are looking for long term rental, the best time to find one will be just after dry season when the rains start to fall and the tourist population starts to drop.  Conversely, just before New Years is probably the worst time to look as many properties book that week if available because the rates are the best of the year.
