Arrive in Santa Teresa by car through the county hub of Cóbano, which also connects you to Mal Pais. Montezuma and Cabuya are nearby as well. Driving down the Nicoya Peninsula through Nandayure is only recommended in a 4×4 as the road is in bad shape and rocky. Taking the ferry is a fun experience and gives you some great views of the Gulf of Nicoya.
