Intel manufactures computer chips and HP maintains call centers. Emerson and Siemens provide engineering consulting and installations.  Conair, Merck and others have recently started operations in the country.

Most of these options are located in the Central Valley surrounding San Jose as that is where most of the multinationals operate.  The tax free zones are in the Central Valley for the most part.
